Everyone at least has a pair of denim jeans in their closet...what's so cool is having a jean thats under or over sized and turning it into a functional bag for yourself!!!! You can even add some Ankara fabric pieces to it and we could make out a neckpiece; earrings...or even a patchwork bag for you. What I love about my job is that the possibilities are so so endless.

recycled projects (neckpieces and earrings)
As Nigerians with ahuge population we do churn out a lot of waste daily.Go to parties and see the rubber bottles;Pieces of fabrics from the tailor....I could go on and on.
With our huge population, we need to begin to think and I mean think well.How do we use these waste profitability? As a craftsperson my recent project is to turn waste into wealth and save the environment.We could also look at it as adding our voice to creating a green environment.....
We recently realised that we could pick pieces of leather in the market which are sold as scraps and pick cast off materials from tailors....I made amazing neckpieces from them with matching earrings

l havent been here in a longgggg while.....no explanations and really no excuses
l have been quite busy putting down blocks for a sustainable business.
Spending the most part of summer teaching craft (my passion)!
Am hoping to be a lot more available here,sharing my chronicles in lessons learnt in business and my daily musings on crafting!

INSPIRING STORIES FROM THE HEART...MyChronicles into business PART 4

.....Christopher's death marked a turning point in my life.Coming back to God to be restored to Him was no more an option....I did and quickly too!Since then I haven't looked back.....yes lots of challenges and all, but pitching my tent with God is fab!
Another tin that crossed my mind was how was I going to survive without those dudes that used to pay my bills? Out of the sincerity of my heart I said a little 2mins prayer....'Lord I need something to do with my hands'.....God replied to me in my spirit.....'What u need is right there in your hands!'....I looked and......TO BE CONTINUED.....watch this space for the Chronicles of my journey into business

HOW I STARTED MY BUSINESS PART 3.....then suddenly I met Emmanuel (a member of the church) who had on more than an occasion been encouraging me to come back to church and God.He knew that the three of us were really close and had left the fold.He looked at me with sad eyes,toke me aside and said.....Christopher is dead!!! How? Apparently I learnt later that he died in Cyril (his twin's arms).
I had seen him just the day before when we convinced ourselves we needed more than where we were at....we needed to stop all the madness and return to God. I couldn't believe it!How could Christopher go just like that!!!
The next thought was 'God it could have been me dieing without a second chance'........TO BE CONTINUED....the chronicles of my journey into business

....Cyril;Christopher and I had know the Lord at almost the same time.Somehow we all had left Him as well.Don't really know why they did,but for me I guess I was tired of following d rules....'Don't do this,Don't Do that'!......I wanted to do everything and not be accountable to anyone!!!And so I engaged the guys that paid my bills and as a threesome we would get together and share tales of the days we used to be in church and with the Lord.
Sometime later even as we discussed,we got gisting about our personal lives and what we were all engaged in.We agreed on one tin though...the life we were living wasn't as fulfilling as we had originally thought and we collectively decided we needed to turn back to God.it seemed like a tall order but something happened that changed it all
